Drums & Lead Vocals

Raised on a farm in Burr Oak, Kansas, John became interested in music at the age of four. His mother, a music major, bought him his first drum set at the age of six and John has been playing every since. Inspired by drummers of the 60's era, John learned the finer points of drumming through practicing with the old 45's and listening to the radio. He started his first band at the age of 12 and has played with many top notch bands and musicians over the years.

"The love of music and the will of God has enabled me to achieve many goals in the music business", Garman said. "I beleive if God gives you a talent you should use it to the best of your ability whether it be music or any other talent. I feel I have been blessed to have stayed in the music  business all these years and have made many friends."

John brings alot of experience and talent to Slingshot and is a major driving force in the band.
